When you arrive in the west of Russia, you will feel like stepping into the world of the Ice Queen in the Frozen movie.
These amazing ice and snow formation photos were taken at the Ural mountains in western Russia by Sergei Makurin. It is located at a distance of 1.5 thousand kilometres from Moscow and only about 600 kilometres from Ekaterinburg. Compared with Yakutia or the Russian Far East, this place is not too far. But there is a problem, in a radius of 100 kilometres from the plateau the area is completely uninhabited – no human settlements, roads or rafts can be found in here.
